Description

This is a study of the nature, extent and beliefs about crime in rural Iowa. It presents a number of different approaches examining either criminal activity itself or responses made to real or imagined crime within the state. Topics include: urban bias and rural research, Iowa’s rural crime, rural policing, police professionalism, state involvement, subduing the Cornbelt Rebellion, and vigilantism.
